Wealth Manager

About the role

eRecruiter is recruiting, on behalf of its client, a Wealth Manager for a leading Nigerian investment banking and financial advisory firm. The firm has expertise in mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, project and structured finance, and rating advisory services across Nigeria and Africa. The Wealth Manager identifies and drives strategic growth opportunities, develops and implements business strategies, manages partnerships and delivers financial advice to high-net-worth clients and institutional entities.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, build a client base and follow up to close deals, while providing financial advisory on asset allocation and preparing investment presentations.
• Mobilize funds through deposit mobilization within 60 days of resumption, generate new business and leads, and track and report on business development KPIs.
• Identify and manage strategic partnerships, negotiate contracts and agreements, and foster long-term partner relationships.
• Lead and mentor a team of business development and wealth professionals, align the team with company goals and share market insights with the investment team.
• Ensure business development complies with regulations and internal policies, and identify and mitigate risks in new ventures.
• Report regularly to the CEO and senior management and communicate strategic plans to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Economics or a related field; an MBA or relevant master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 6 years' experience in business origination, currently in a similar role at a Tier 1 or Tier 2 commercial bank or asset management company, serving retail, SME and corporate clients.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
• Leadership and team management experience, and excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
