Financial Reporting Accountant

About the role

Taniquest Consulting Services is a multidisciplinary firm offering accounting, financial, forensic, legal and business consultancy, including internal audit, tax advisory and due diligence. It is looking for a full-time, on-site Financial Reporting Accountant based in Ikeja. The role prepares and reviews timely and accurate financial statements in line with accounting standards and regulations, and works closely with management to support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger accounts
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes
• Assist in preparing consolidated financial reports for multiple entities
• Analyze financial data, investigate variances and report findings to management
• Collaborate with internal teams, contribute to process improvements and support audits and other financial reviews

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Professional certification such as ACA or ACCA is compulsory
• Minimum of 8 years of experience
• Leadership experience is key
• Ability to work on-site in Lekki and engage with diverse clients

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of financial statements and financial reporting, including group accounts and multi-entity reporting
• Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel
• Familiarity with IFRS or other relevant reporting standards
• Analytical skills to identify trends and variances
