Technical Consultant - Gadget Support & Sales

About the role

A global gadgets provider offering products, technical support, repairs and customer solutions is hiring a Technical Consultant in Abuja. The consultant provides first-line technical support, troubleshooting and repair coordination, trains clients, and helps convert walk-in customers while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service, build ongoing relationships, compile quotations and follow up on repairs, including weekly service calls to the repair centre
• Provide first-line technical support, process warranty repairs, data transfers and backups, record details on the booking system and escalate unresolved issues
• Process repair stock with weekly reporting, check collections reports twice a week and sign for returned units
• Propose total solutions, convert walk-ins into purchasers, keep up to date on product information and conduct product training
• Maintain Apple expert-level certification and attend VILT, NPI, ACE, SEED and LMS trainings
• Advise customers on device finance, insurance, trade-in and screen/battery replacement, and process applications and claims per SOP
• Complete repair paperwork, keep the technical floor tidy and meet merchandising and branding standards

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
• 2-3 years of experience in technical support, retail sales, customer service or a similar customer-facing technical environment
• Proven sales track record in a customer-focused setting
• Apple expert certification maintained

• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Good knowledge of computers, software, internet connectivity, data transfers and backups
