Product Lead, Trust and Compliance

About the role

Chowdeck is an on-demand delivery service for Africa delivering food, medicine, groceries and other packages. As Product Lead, Trust and Compliance, you will own the product systems behind KYC, fraud detection, investigation and containment across customers, vendors, riders, agents, wallets, payments and payouts. You will report to the Product Executive and coordinate with other teams and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Own KYC product journeys and verification coverage across customers, vendors, riders and agents
• Own fraud visibility (case records, monitoring signals, alerts, investigation access) and containment (account freezes, payout holds, blocked payment details, reward reversals)
• Define the product process for fraud severity, response expectations, evidence preservation and case close-out
• Maintain a register of recurring loopholes and coordinate product fixes across teams
• Ensure trust and compliance readiness for new products and markets
• Turn policy and regulatory requirements into usable product experiences
• Partner with engineering and data teams to build monitors, alerts and automated controls from known fraud patterns
• Define measures for detection time, containment time, loss exposure and impact on legitimate users
• Protect sensitive information while giving investigators the evidence and access they need

Required profile

• At least 6 years of product management experience, including fintech, payments, identity, fraud, risk or compliance
• Track record of turning risk or policy requirements into product capabilities and operating processes
• Strong judgement balancing prevention, customer friction, operational workload and financial exposure
• Comfortable working with sensitive data, investigations and cross-functional stakeholders
• Clear written communication and disciplined documentation

Bonus points

• Experience with KYC providers, device intelligence, payments monitoring or transaction risk
• Experience with payment partners, banks, regulators or law enforcement processes
• Launching trust or compliance products across multiple countries
