Technical Pre-Sales Executive - Microsoft Azure

About the role

A leading distributor of technology, services and lifestyle products in Sub-Saharan Africa is hiring a technical pre-sales executive based in Abuja, Nigeria. The role works with clients to define how they can use Microsoft cloud services most effectively, and involves analysis, proposal and architecture work on Microsoft Azure.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize customers' existing IT environments and advise them on technology choices and options.
• Support technical projects in on-premises, hybrid and cloud systems, and build PoCs and demos with account managers.
• Work with the sales, account and service management teams to identify professional services opportunities and qualify customer requirements early in the sales cycle.
• Develop customer proposals, statements of work, cost models and proof of concept engagements.
• Support the sales and bid team with bid responses, including RFI, RFP and pre-qualification questionnaires.
• Design, architect and develop high-end technology solutions on Microsoft Azure, including building, migrating and testing Azure environments and integrating IaaS, PaaS and SaaS services.
• Architect and integrate on-premises applications and other platforms with Azure, applying architectural experience to balance business goals, cost and complexity.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years of post-graduate experience in a similar position.
• B.Sc./HND in Engineering, Computer Science or a related social science course.
• Active role in operational and business-development aspects of the business.

Required skills

• Fundamental knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Understanding of the network stack, network protocols and aspects of computer security (network security, application security, cryptography).
• Ability to craft Azure architectures that meet customers' technical, security and business needs.
