Computer Operator

About the role

Sunesta Global is hiring a full-time Computer Operator in Abuja (Marina). The role covers day-to-day monitoring of computer systems, maintenance of hardware and peripherals, basic troubleshooting, data backups and user support.

Key responsibilities

• System monitoring: watch computer consoles, network alerts and system messages to track performance and spot errors early.
• Data backups: perform and verify routine data backup procedures to protect against system crashes and data loss.
• Hardware and peripherals management: maintain printers, scanners, storage devices and server hardware, replace media such as tapes or paper and clear jams.
• Error troubleshooting: diagnose basic hardware or software failures, resolve minor disruptions and escalate major issues to systems analysts or IT engineers.
• Logging and documentation: keep detailed logs of system events, backup histories, machine malfunctions and operational changes.
• User support: assist internal or external users by answering operational questions and handling basic requests.

Required profile

• Minimum qualification: OND.
• 2 years of previous experience in a similar role.
