Research Assistant

About the role

The Research Assistant will support Ellasot Consulting by conducting market and competitor research, analysing data, and preparing actionable insights to inform business decisions in the financial services sector.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct primary and secondary research on markets, industries, customers and business opportunities.
• Analyse trends in consumer finance, lending, SME and financial services sectors.
• Gather, organise and analyse data from reliable sources to support decisions.
• Monitor competitors' products, pricing, customer segments and market activities.
• Identify new markets, customer acquisition opportunities and potential partnerships.
• Prepare research reports, presentations, summaries and recommendations for management.
• Maintain accurate research databases and verify information from multiple sources.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, Finance, Social Sciences or related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant research, data analysis, market research or business intelligence experience (advantageous).
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
