Operations Analyst

About the role

NG Clearing, Nigeria’s premier central counterparty, is seeking an Operations Analyst to support the day‑to‑day clearing and settlement of exchange‑traded instruments. The role focuses on operational excellence, risk management and process improvement within a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support end‑to‑end clearing operations, including trade receipt from the stock exchange and settlement processing.
• Manage collateral efficiently to mitigate settlement risk.
• Monitor daily work for risk, promptly escalating exceptions and recording them.
• Collaborate with the Head of Risk Management on the Risk Control Self‑Assessment framework.
• Work with stakeholders and the Technology Division on new product impacts and operational changes.
• Participate in strategic initiatives to optimise the operating model and reduce costs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, Accounting or a related numerate discipline.
• Entry‑level candidate with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Hands‑on team player with high energy, integrity and a customer‑service orientation.

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Numerical literacy and data‑management capabilities.
• Ability to use IT tools and systems effectively.
