About the role
We are looking for an entry‑level Accountant to join our finance team in Port Harcourt. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, supporting payroll, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain ledgers, financial statements, and monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
- Monitor daily transactions, reconcile bank statements and manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Assist with payroll processing, budget monitoring, cash‑flow management and tax return preparation.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Professional certification such as ICAN or ACCA is an advantage.
- Strong numerical, analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information and meet strict deadlines.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage.
- Knowledge of bookkeeping, bank reconciliation and tax compliance.
