About the role
The Quality Control Assistant plays a vital role in upholding project integrity by rigorously verifying materials and construction methods against established standards. The position ensures that all site activities adhere to approved drawings, Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and relevant Nigerian Building Standards, safeguarding the structural quality and safety of the project.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect all incoming materials thoroughly to verify they meet the required specifications.
- Evaluate construction techniques such as block masonry, concrete mixing ratios, plastering and tiling to confirm accuracy.
- Maintain daily quality control checklists and report any defects promptly to the QC officer or Project Manager.
- Verify that all site operations comply with approved drawings, BOQ requirements and Nigerian Building Standards.
- Halt any construction activities that fail to meet the necessary quality benchmarks.
- Document rejected materials and coordinate their immediate removal from the site.
