Air Conditioning (AC) Technician

About the role

Cen Global Services Limited is recruiting a skilled and reliable Air Conditioning (AC) Technician to install, service and repair air conditioning systems. The role covers installing new units, routine maintenance, fault diagnosis and system restoration, with a focus on quality workmanship and prompt service. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-conscious, punctual and professional with customers.

Key responsibilities

• Install split, cassette, standing and other AC units according to manufacturer specifications.
• Carry out routine preventive maintenance, including cleaning filters, coils and drain lines.
• Diagnose faults and repair compressors, capacitors, PCBs, fan motors and sensors.
• Detect refrigerant leaks and evacuate, charge and top up refrigerant correctly.
• Test installed or repaired systems before handover.
• Complete job cards and service reports accurately and on time.
• Follow workplace safety rules and look after company tools, equipment and materials.

Required profile

• BSc/OND/HND/Trade Certificate in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field; SSCE candidates with proven hands-on AC experience or technical training are also considered.
• A recognised HVAC or refrigeration certification is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 2 years' hands-on experience as an AC technician on residential and commercial systems.
• Physical fitness to work at heights and carry equipment.

Required skills

• Installation, servicing and repair of split, cassette and standing AC units.
• Solid understanding of refrigerants, including leak detection, evacuation and gas charging.
• Fault-finding skills supported by basic electrical knowledge.
• Confident use of manifold gauges, multimeters and other technical tools.
• Punctual, neat, professional and courteous with customers, and a dependable team player.
