Proposal Development Associate

About the role

The Associate leads the research, drafting and visual presentation of strategic proposals, concept notes, pitch decks and formal reports, focusing on business-oriented documentation and institutional communications rather than social media content. The role supports the organization's commercial and institutional growth by ensuring materials are well researched, professionally formatted and aligned with organizational standards so they communicate value to potential partners and funders.

Key responsibilities

• Research client needs, industry sectors, funding streams and institutional priorities.
• Draft initial proposals, concept notes and expressions of interest from approved briefs and templates.
• Turn research and briefs into structured proposals and presentation materials.
• Design layouts for proposals, pitch decks, charts and infographics.
• Proofread and format documents according to organizational guidelines.
• Validate data, assertions and sources before inclusion in submissions.
• Maintain a digital repository of past proposals, credentials and supporting evidence.
• Track project timelines, document versions, revisions, deadlines and feedback.
• Analyze grants, calls for proposals, expressions of interest and procurement opportunities.
• Gather intelligence on prospective clients and institutions to inform proposal strategy.
• Prepare presentation materials and supporting documents for proposal packages, integrate stakeholder feedback and keep an opportunity tracking system.
