Social Media Marketing Specialist (Nigeria)

About the role

A company is looking for a creative and data-driven Social Media Marketing Specialist to grow its brand presence across Nigeria. The specialist will own the social media channels, create engaging localized content and drive user acquisition and engagement through organic and paid campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and run social media strategies for the Nigerian market on Instagram, TikTok, X (Twitter), Facebook, WhatsApp and LinkedIn
• Create, curate and schedule localized posts, videos, reels and stories in English, Pidgin and other local languages
• Plan and manage paid campaigns (Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, Google Ads), including budget, targeting, A/B testing and optimization
• Brief and manage influencer and creator partnerships, negotiate terms and track ROI
• Monitor trends, viral moments and competitors, and adjust the content strategy accordingly
• Respond to comments and messages, manage brand reputation and escalate customer issues
• Track and report KPIs such as reach, engagement, follower growth, CTR, CAC and conversions
• Work with design, product and sales teams to keep the brand consistent and support campaign launches

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field
• 2-4 years of social media marketing experience, preferably in Nigeria or West Africa
• Proven track record of growing social accounts and running paid campaigns
• Strong understanding of Nigerian social media culture, slang and consumer behaviour
• Fluent English; Pidgin or a major local language is a strong advantage

Required skills

• Social media analytics tools: Meta Business Suite, TikTok Analytics, Google Analytics
• Copywriting and content creation; Canva, CapCut or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus

What we offer

• Compensation of N300,000 - N500,000 per month (gross), depending on experience
