Marketing Executive - Enugu

About the role

Airtel Africa is hiring a Marketing Executive for Enugu. The role drives customer acquisition and sales through brand visibility across channels, increases revenue and reduces churn through KYC campaigns and trade engagements, and focuses on local market brand development and data analytics within the assigned zone.

Key responsibilities

• Manage distribution of KYC terminals in the zone, improving active terminal count and productivity, and ensure KYC kits (company assets) are optimized
• Monitor and improve the KYC process to reduce repair turnaround time, and work with Area Sales Managers to minimize downtime from spare parts or software issues
• Optimize key performance indicators such as kit productivity, activity and compliance
• Implement the trade strategy: determine merchandising requirements and ensure product availability across trade outlets, shops, CPs, street corners and other touchpoints
• Prepare monthly zonal trade marketing execution reports
• Track trade visibility and drive it during sponsorships and events to raise top-of-mind awareness and reduce decrement; work with the Regional Marketing Manager on promotional activations
• Work with the Sales Team on coverage marketing and BTS site activations, and ensure showrooms follow shop guidelines
• Collaborate with the Product Development Team on products and services suited to the local market
• Prepare reports and analyses, turning raw data into actionable insights
• Coordinate and manage projects in the zone, escalating deviations to the Regional Marketing Manager or Zonal Business Manager

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Social Sciences or Pure Sciences
• Second degree in Business Management or Marketing is an added advantage
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in marketing activations and channel branding within an agency or the FMCG industry
• Excellent command of English, with strong organizational and communication skills and attention to detail
