Procurement and Logistics Officer

About the role

This full-time position in the agro-processing sector focuses on acquiring essential materials for business operations, with the aim of securing timely delivery, keeping proper inventory storage and ensuring a smooth flow of goods. The role supports production and operational continuity by obtaining supplies cost-effectively and delivering them as required.

Key responsibilities

• Procure raw materials, packaging supplies and other necessary items, negotiating to obtain favourable pricing
• Track inventory levels continuously so materials are available when needed
• Manage the transport of goods into and out of the organisation
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, delivery schedules, vendor information and stock levels
• Build strong relationships with vendors to ensure reliable, consistent and punctual supply

Required profile

• Proven ability to source and purchase materials efficiently
• Experience monitoring stock levels and managing inventory availability
• Competence in coordinating logistics and delivery operations
• Strong organisational skills for keeping detailed purchase and supplier records
• Ability to build and maintain positive vendor relationships
