Medical Dispatch Rider

About the role

A full-time Medical Dispatch Rider is sought in Lagos to safely and on time transport laboratory specimens, medications, medical supplies and healthcare documents between healthcare facilities, corporate clients and patients. The role requires excellent riding skills, a good understanding of healthcare logistics and strict confidentiality of medical materials. Candidates with phlebotomy, specimen collection or laboratory experience are strongly preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Safely transport specimens, medications, equipment and documents between facilities, clients and patients
• Ensure proper handling, storage and transport of biological specimens according to protocol
• Maintain specimen integrity and follow infection prevention and control standards
• Support specimen collection where qualified and authorised
• Verify and document pickups and deliveries, and keep delivery logs
• Carry out routine motorcycle checks and report maintenance issues
• Follow road safety rules, provide courteous service and protect patient confidentiality

Required profile

• Diploma, OND or equivalent; previous dispatch rider experience required
• Valid motorcycle permit and riding experience
• Good knowledge of Lagos roads and navigation tools
• Flexible hours, including weekends and emergencies
• Physically fit for field work

Required skills

• Phlebotomy, specimen collection or laboratory experience highly desirable
• Strong communication, customer service and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
