Order to Cash Leader for Sub‑Saharan Africa

About the role

Weatherford is seeking an experienced Order to Cash Leader to oversee credit control and collections across Sub‑Saharan Africa. The role is based in Lagos or Port Harcourt and will use the GETPAID system to manage receivables, improve cash flow and meet monthly collection targets.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor customer accounts and outstanding invoice balances, contacting customers regularly to secure payment and negotiate repayment plans.
• Prepare and review monthly AR ageing, trade reports and cash collection forecasts, and provide regular performance updates to management.
• Maintain accurate records of collection activities, resolve disputed invoices, and recommend write‑offs where appropriate.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Finance and other stakeholders to resolve billing issues and improve DSO.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 5‑8 years of accounts receivable, credit control or sales finance experience in a multinational, preferably in oilfield services.
• Strong analytical ability to identify payment trends, credit risks and opportunities to reduce DSO.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word).
• Experience with GETPAID or similar credit‑management systems.
• Familiarity with JD Edwards (JDE) or other ERP platforms.
