Group General Manager – Business Process

About the role

The Group General Manager – Business Process will lead finance functions including accounting, budgeting, reporting, control, audit coordination and systems integration for GAC’s Lagos office. Reporting to the Group Managing Director, this senior position oversees a finance team and ensures robust financial governance.

Key responsibilities

• Establish, develop and maintain financial accounting, budgeting and reporting systems.
• Develop and maintain policies, procedures and practices for effective financial control.
• Analyze and interpret financial reports to support departmental performance evaluation.
• Prepare official and management reports, as well as proposals for working capital, investments and project budgets.
• Coordinate internal and external audits in partnership with the Managing Director.
• Oversee integration of business software with the company’s accounting system.

Required profile

• University degree in accounting, economics, finance, business administration or a related discipline.
• Minimum eight years of relevant experience in shipping, oil and gas or the service industry.
• Professional qualification such as Chartered Accountant, ICAN, ANAN, ACCA, CIMA or CTIN.
• Personal attributes: accountable, adaptable, achievement‑oriented, disciplined, strong communication and leadership skills.
