IT Officer – Abuja

About the role

PATH, a global nonprofit focused on health equity, is looking for an IT Officer to support staff in Abuja and field sites. The role will work closely with the International IT team and report to the Lead Regional System Administrator.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line IT support to staff, handling hardware, software, and network issues.
• Assist HQ engineers with server and network troubleshooting.
• Deliver one‑on‑one and small‑group training on Office 365, MS Teams, OneDrive, BOX, and SharePoint.
• Conduct onboarding sessions for new staff on IT policies and tools.
• Ensure reliable data backups and maintain data security.
• Maintain PCs, printers, UPS units, and other equipment; schedule preventive maintenance.
• Log all incidents in the global helpdesk ticketing system and keep the supervisor informed.
• Manage inventory of on‑site and off‑site IT assets.
• Coordinate with the ISP to guarantee internet connectivity.
• Travel periodically to field programs as needed.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving attitude with excellent PC troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience in IT network administration and basic server troubleshooting.
• Ability to document incidents accurately in a ticketing system.
• Passion for teaching technology through personal and small‑group training.
