Senior Data Scientist – Lead AI Projects

About the role

Reliance Health is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to transform complex datasets into actionable insights that drive strategic business outcomes across emerging markets. You will design, deploy, and maintain advanced machine‑learning models while communicating findings to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end data science projects, from data collection and preprocessing to model deployment and delivery.
• Design, implement, and maintain advanced ML models, including regression, clustering, anomaly detection, and NLP applications.
• Write optimized SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets.
• Translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations for diverse audiences.
• Monitor model performance, conduct A/B tests, and continuously improve accuracy and reliability.
• Document methodologies, workflows, and data dictionaries to ensure reproducibility.
• Mentor junior data scientists and promote best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.
• 4‑5+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or machine‑learning roles with production‑level model deployment.
• Proven ability to manage projects end‑to‑end and deliver measurable business impact.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to influence both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Python or R for data manipulation, ML modeling, and NLP.
• Expert‑level SQL for large‑scale data querying.
• ML frameworks: scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch.
• Visualization tools: Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib, seaborn.
• Experience with regression, clustering, anomaly detection, NLP, and A/B testing.
• Solid understanding of statistics, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.
