Engineering Manager – Lead Cross‑Functional Software Team

About the role

Reliance Health is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a cross‑functional software team. This hands‑on leadership role involves guiding architectural decisions, ensuring high‑quality delivery, and fostering a collaborative culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of software engineers, setting goals and providing feedback.
• Partner with Product Managers to define and maintain the team roadmap.
• Ensure software quality through code reviews, architecture discussions, and best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement in agile, DevOps, and testing practices.
• Act as escalation point for technical and delivery challenges.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and career development.
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services (TypeScript, Node.js, Express) and frontend services (React).
• Troubleshoot production issues with DevOps and support teams.

Required profile

• Excellent communication skills for technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• 2+ years experience leading engineering teams (EM, TL, or equivalent).
• Experience running agile delivery processes (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
• Ability to balance technical trade‑offs with business priorities.
