About the role
The Inverter Technician will join Simba Group's Power Solutions division in Port Harcourt, handling installation, maintenance and repair of inverter and UPS systems.
Key responsibilities
- Repair and maintain inverters and on‑line UPS units.
- Install inverters, batteries and related electrical installations.
- Troubleshoot and service surge protection/AVR systems and battery types (AGM, SMF, tubular).
- Perform basic PCB repairs for Luminous/Genus inverters and report battery test results.
Required profile
- 2‑4 years of experience in similar electrical/electronic maintenance roles.
- Educational background in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Physics or related field (HND/B‑Tech/B.Sc/B.Eng).
Required skills
- Inverter and UPS maintenance.
- Electrical installation troubleshooting.
- Battery installation and testing (AGM/SMF/Tubular).
- PCB repair and soldering.
- Knowledge of inverter, battery and charge controller systems.
