About the role
TAG Energy Limited is seeking an experienced welder to fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures and equipment for its oilfield operations in Port Harcourt.
Key responsibilities
- Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures and equipment using MIG, TIG, and arc welding techniques.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements.
- Set up, operate, and adjust welding machines for precision work.
- Inspect materials and completed welds to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment and adhere to company and industry safety regulations.
- Document work performed and report to supervisors.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational welding program preferred.
- 2-4 years of welding experience in construction, manufacturing, or related fields.
- Certification in welding (e.g., AWS) is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to read technical drawings.
