Automobile Technician – Vehicle Diagnostics & Repairs

About the role

The Automobile Technician is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of vehicles in line with manufacturer specifications and workshop standards.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose faults in engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, steering systems, and electrical components.
• Carry out mechanical and electrical repairs and servicing on cars, SUVs, and light‑duty vehicles.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues and ensure accurate fixes.
• Perform test drives and quality checks before job completion.
• Conduct periodic maintenance and inspections, recommend part replacements, and ensure compliance with safety and quality protocols.
• Update job cards and service reports, maintain a clean work area, and collaborate with service advisors and parts department.

Required profile

• Minimum Trade Test Certification (Grade I, II, or III) in Mechanical or Electrical Auto Work.
• 3+ years practical experience in automotive repairs and diagnostics.
• Strong technical knowledge of vehicle systems and workshop procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret service manuals and repair instructions.
