Inventory Finance Manager

About the role

Dangote Industries Limited is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Inventory Finance Manager to lead its inventory finance functions. The role ensures the accuracy of all inventory-related financial transactions and reporting, oversees the reconciliation of inventory accounts, optimizes inventory costs and ensures compliance with financial regulations and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee inventory accounting processes, including inventory valuation and reporting
• Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure financial statements are accurate and complete
• Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs
• Analyze inventory metrics and give management insights to improve operational efficiency
• Develop and implement inventory finance policies and procedures in line with industry best practice
• Prepare and present detailed financial reports and analyses to senior management
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls on inventory processing and reporting

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
• Professional accounting certification such as ACA or ACCA is highly desirable
• Minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant finance experience, with a focus on inventory management

Required skills

• Proficiency in financial software and accounting packages, especially SAP
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Extensive knowledge of inventory accounting and finance principles
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills, with excellent communication skills
