Head of Finance

About the role

The Head of Finance will provide strategic financial leadership for a fast‑growing travel and aviation business operating across corporate, diplomatic and retail travel lines. Reporting to the Board, you will shape long‑term financial strategy, budgeting and resource allocation to support expansion and technology adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute long‑term financial plans, annual budgets and forecasts aligned with growth targets.
• Provide data‑driven insights for capital investments, GDS/booking engine integrations and new branch openings.
• Design foreign‑exchange hedging and liquidity strategies to manage volatile FX markets and CBN windows.
• Oversee working‑capital, cash‑flow and settlement processes through IATA BSP to avoid ticketing suspensions.
• Implement credit policies for corporate, embassy and government clients, manage DSO and prevent revenue leakage.
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian tax laws (WHT, VAT, CIT, PAYE) and coordinate year‑end audits.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual IFRS financial statements and maintain robust internal controls.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of senior finance experience, preferably in aviation, travel or related services.
• Proven ability to lead financial strategy, budgeting and forecasting in a multi‑currency environment.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations and corporate governance standards.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills to present insights to senior leadership.
