Head of Finance and Operations

About the role

RoleVeendHQ is looking for an experienced Head of Finance and Operations to lead financial reporting, cash flow management, compliance and daily lending operations. You will ensure accurate records, timely loan disbursements and settlements, and provide reliable reporting to support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and expense monitoring.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and quarterly investor reports.
• Maintain accounting records in Xero, reconcile bank accounts, payment channels, loan disbursements and repayments.
• Manage daily cash budgets, liquidity requirements and the fixed‑asset register.
• Coordinate annual audits, Nigerian tax compliance and US corporate tax filings.
• Oversee loan funding, disbursements, lender settlements and support loan securitisation.
• Strengthen financial controls, dashboards, reporting templates and operating procedures.
• Manage relationships with banks, payment providers, auditors and tax consultants.

Required profile

• Strong experience in financial reporting, accounting, reconciliation, budgeting and cash‑flow management.
• Working knowledge of Nigerian tax compliance, statutory remittances and audit preparation.
• Fintech or financial services experience is mandatory.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and resolve operational exceptions.
