Grant Development Associate

About the role

The Grant Development Associate supports the organization's mission by identifying, securing and managing grant funding. This entry-level position suits a detail-oriented, motivated person with 0-2 years of experience in fundraising or grant management. The Associate takes part in the full grant cycle, from research and proposal writing to submission and reporting, keeping meticulous records and helping resource mobilization.

Key responsibilities

• Research and identify grant opportunities aligned with organizational goals and funding priorities.
• Assist in drafting, editing and formatting grant proposals, reports and supporting documents.
• Maintain accurate records of grant activities, including submissions, deadlines and outcomes.
• Support preparation and submission of grant applications with program and finance teams.
• Track and manage donor and funding records using CRM or database systems.
• Prepare periodic resource mobilization and grant activity reports for leadership review.
• Gather data, narratives and impact metrics with program staff for grant reporting.
• Ensure compliance with funder guidelines and organizational policies throughout the grant lifecycle.
