About the role

The Financial System Strengthening (FSS) Associate Consultant will support the Sokoto State Primary Healthcare Development Agency and the Sokoto State Ministry of Health under the EU SARAH grant, enhancing financial management systems for primary health care.

Key responsibilities

Work closely with the IPM Specialist, Financial Management Team and Health Programme Team to strengthen financial controls and reporting.
Provide technical assistance to state health agencies on budgeting, financial reporting and donor compliance.

Required profile

University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field; professional accounting qualification (CPA, ICAN, ACCA) is an advantage.
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in financial management, accounting, donor‑funded health programmes and partnership management.

Required skills

Strong knowledge of financial management, budgeting, financial reporting and internal controls.
Expertise in donor compliance, grant management and public financial management systems.
