Finance Supervisor / Senior Specialist

About the role

The Finance Supervisor / Senior Specialist will manage day‑to‑day tax compliance and accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and timely filing. This role also supports finance enquiries and coordinates with auditors and tax authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Handle daily tax compliance work, including VAT, WHT and CIT returns.
• Process accounting transactions, post financial entries, review and approve expense claims, and close books in SAP each month.
• Respond to finance‑related enquiries from internal teams.
• Work independently with external auditors to complete the annual financial audit.
• Communicate effectively with tax authorities and external consultants such as auditors.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of relevant taxation experience in a professional services firm, commercial firm or financial institution.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Accountancy, Management Science, Economics or related fields.
• Qualified Chartered Accountant under the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
• Excellent English language proficiency.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of tax compliance (VAT, WHT, CIT).
• Proficiency in SAP for accounting and month‑end closing.
• Experience preparing and reviewing expense claims and financial transactions.
• Ability to coordinate external audits and liaise with tax authorities.
