Finance Expert – Remote

About the role

micro1 is hiring Finance and Accounting Experts on a contractor basis to support a customer project focused on accounting operations, financial reporting, and ERP systems. The role involves evaluating and improving AI‑generated accounting outputs and training data.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate AI‑generated accounting outputs for accuracy, calculations, journal entries, and treatments.
• Review and annotate financial statements, reconciliations, journal entries, and month‑end close workpapers.
• Identify errors, misstatements, and inconsistencies, providing corrections with clear rationale.
• Assess accounting workflows and financial systems logic across platforms such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Xero, and Dynamics 365.
• Apply rubrics to rank and grade AI‑generated responses and create realistic accounting scenarios for AI training.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on experience in financial accounting, audit, bookkeeping, financial reporting, management or cost accounting, or FP&A.
• Proven experience preparing or reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Prior paid experience in AI training, data annotation, labeling, RLHF, or rubric‑based grading.
• Strong written and verbal English communication (B2 level or above) and ability to work independently.
