Facility Manager (Damaturu)

About the role

Alpha Mead Group, a total real estate solutions company offering facilities management, real estate development and advisory, security systems, training, healthcare management and financing services, is seeking an experienced and proactive Facility Manager to oversee the operation, maintenance and administration of its facilities in Damaturu. The role keeps facilities, equipment and support services running safely, functionally and cost-effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day facility operations and maintenance, including preventive and corrective programmes for building systems and infrastructure
• Keep electrical, mechanical, plumbing and HVAC systems running efficiently and run regular inspections
• Manage maintenance schedules and monitor service delivery standards
• Supervise and evaluate contractors and vendors, review their work and reports, negotiate service agreements and monitor performance
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements, maintain safety procedures, emergency plans and risk assessments, and keep statutory records and permits up to date
• Prepare and manage maintenance budgets, control operating costs, maintain an accurate asset inventory and plan asset replacement and lifecycle management

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Engineering, Estate Management, Facility Management, Building Technology or a related field
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Facilities Manager or in a similar role
• Proven experience managing commercial, residential, institutional or industrial facilities
• Experience managing maintenance teams, contractors and facility budgets
• Experience in remote or challenging environments is an advantage
