EdTech AI Integration Specialist

About the role

Lagooz Schools is hiring a full-time EdTech AI Integration Specialist in Lagos (Marina) to design and deploy AI-powered tools that support students, teachers, parents and school administration. The role covers virtual tutoring agents, automated admissions and communication flows, and integrating AI safely with the school's existing digital systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deploy customized virtual AI tutoring agents or student assistants that answer curriculum-aligned questions, provide guided practice and support after-school learning modules.
• Build smart feedback loops so teachers can track student comprehension trends from AI-student interactions.
• Automate front-office and admission processes with AI conversational agents on WhatsApp, web portals and email, handling parent inquiries, fee breakdowns and tour bookings.
• Streamline internal workflows, record-keeping routing and timetable management using smart triggers and API-connected tools.
• Implement automated AI notification agents that keep parents updated on attendance, performance reports, events and administrative notices in real time.
• Manage automated FAQ handlers so parents get instant, accurate answers outside school hours.
• Integrate AI solutions with the school's existing digital portals, databases and communication infrastructure.
• Set up safety guardrails, content filters and data privacy protocols so all AI tools stay safe, child-appropriate and compliant with educational standards.

Required profile

• Strong interest or background in educational technology, e-learning platforms or school management software integrations.
• Ability to turn the daily administrative and learning challenges of a top-tier Nigerian primary and secondary institution into clean, automated technical workflows.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript and hands-on experience with modern AI/LLM orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, CrewAI, LlamaIndex or the OpenAI Assistants API.
• Experience building and deploying context-aware conversational agents connected to APIs and messaging platforms such as WhatsApp Business API or web widgets.
