Cloud Administrator

About the role

A Cloud Administrator position based in Lagos, Nigeria, responsible for managing, maintaining and monitoring the company's cloud infrastructure and services. The role covers configuration of major cloud platforms, performance and security monitoring, troubleshooting and cost optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, maintain and monitor the company's cloud infrastructure and services.
• Configure and manage cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud.
• Monitor system performance, availability and security, and troubleshoot cloud-related issues.
• Implement routine system updates, backups and maintenance.
• Monitor cloud resource usage and recommend cost-saving improvements.
• Support cloud deployment, infrastructure optimisation and security practices.

Required profile

• Proven mid-level or senior experience in cloud administration, cloud engineering or cloud infrastructure management.
• Hands-on experience deploying, configuring and maintaining cloud infrastructure; familiarity with more than one platform is required.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, IaC tools, cloud security, IAM, backup strategies, disaster recovery and high-availability architecture.
• Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect or SysOps, Azure Administrator, or Google Associate Cloud Engineer; additional ones are an advantage.
• Ability to explain technical decisions and show measurable improvements in reliability, security, performance or cloud spend.
