Digital Order Taker (Cashless Restaurant)

About the role

A 100% cashless, digital-first restaurant in Nigeria is looking for an energetic, tech-savvy Digital Order Taker to be the face of its front-of-house operations. The role manages walk-in and phone orders through a custom Admin Dashboard and processes payments securely via an integrated bank POS terminal. Positions are available in two locations in Lagos and one in Abuja.

Key responsibilities

• Process walk-in and phone orders.
• Manage the integrated bank POS terminal.
• Monitor the Kitchen Display System (KDS) and mark food as "Ready" for customers.
• Verify customer pickups and driver handoffs using a custom QR Code scanner.
• Perform daily cashless transaction reconciliation and sales balancing.
• Maintain accurate transaction records and report discrepancies immediately.
• Support customer complaint handling at the front desk.

Required profile

• 1+ year of experience in customer service, cashiering or retail (QSR experience is a plus).
• High level of accuracy and integrity under a zero-cash tolerance policy.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Basic bookkeeping and daily sales reconciliation ability.
• Availability for shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• OND or equivalent minimum; HND/BSc preferred. NYSC certificate or discharge where applicable (preferred).

Required skills

• Familiarity with POS terminals and digital ordering systems.
• Use of a custom Admin Dashboard and QR Code scanner.
