Content and Strategic Communications Officer

About the role

The Content and Strategic Communications Officer advances the organization's internal and external messaging strategy, articulating its projects, achievements, expertise and social impact through written, visual and digital media. The role oversees web and social media platforms, documents project milestones, creates compelling content, engages stakeholders and ensures brand consistency across all touchpoints.

Key responsibilities

• Craft content for LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Facebook, the corporate website and other channels, including captions, articles, newsletters, press releases, success stories and organizational updates.
• Design and manage a content calendar aligned with operations, projects and strategic objectives.
• Record and document training sessions, field operations, stakeholder interactions, research initiatives and events.
• Assist in creating multimedia assets such as photography, short-form video, graphics and infographics.
• Collaborate with technical teams to turn complex research and programme details into accessible content.
• Ensure all outputs reflect the company's brand values and professional standards.
• Track social media engagement metrics and compile periodic performance reports.
• Refresh profiles, brochures, capability statements, staff biographies and other promotional material.
• Edit external communications for accuracy and quality before publication.
• Maintain a digital archive of visual media, publications and communication assets.
• Support media relations, event promotion and communication campaigns, and stay up to date on trends in development, humanitarian, governance and consulting sectors.
• Carry out additional communication and visibility tasks assigned by the supervisor.
