Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist (Hospital)

About the role

JV Management Consulting Ltd is recruiting 3 to 4 Consultant Obstetricians and Gynaecologists for full-time, on-site hospital roles in Warri, Delta State and Port Harcourt, Rivers State, with about N2 million per month. Hiring and coordination are handled from Lekki. Consultants provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care, including outpatient consultations, inpatient management, antenatal and postnatal care, gynecologic assessment and surgical interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct patient examinations and develop and implement treatment plans
• Perform and supervise deliveries and gynecologic procedures
• Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and MDCN standards
• Work with multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior medical staff
• Maintain accurate medical records and take part in quality improvement, clinical audits and patient safety initiatives
• Support hospital leadership in improving service quality, managing clinical risk and fostering a patient-centered, culturally sensitive care environment

Required profile

• Fully licensed medical doctor with current MDCN registration and a specialist qualification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (e.g. Fellowship of NPMCN, WACS or equivalent)
• Demonstrated expertise in antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care, including high-risk pregnancies and obstetric emergencies
• Proficiency in gynecologic outpatient care, surgical procedures such as Caesarean sections and common gynecologic surgeries, and evidence-based clinical decision-making
• Experience supervising junior doctors, nurses and allied health professionals in a hospital setting
• Ability to handle a busy clinical workload, including shift work, on-call duties and emergency response
• Experience in Nigerian tertiary or secondary hospitals is highly beneficial
