Advanced Trichologist

About the role

A premium, highly reputable haircare brand based in Lekki Phase One, Lagos, is looking for a certified, passionate and results-driven Trichologist to join its growing team. As the Advanced Trichologist, you will act as the resident expert in hair and scalp health, analysing, diagnosing and treating hair and scalp disorders with advanced trichoscopy and diagnostic tools, while also training the wider styling team on hair health.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and diagnose scalp and hair conditions such as alopecia, dandruff, traction alopecia, thinning and scalp infections using trichology and trichoscopy tools.
• Develop and run personalised, science-backed treatment plans and recommend clinical products and home-care routines.
• Monitor client progress, record subtle changes in scalp health and keep accurate records.
• Educate clients on preventive care and hair growth cycles, and train the salon team on hairstyling solutions that protect hair health.
• Maintain high standards of clinical hygiene, professional ethics and a results-driven approach.

Required profile

• 2-5 years of dedicated experience as a Trichologist.
• Advanced-level certification or formal studies in Trichology.
• Age of 45 or under; exceptionally well-groomed and professional, acting as a brand ambassador for hair health.
• Open to both male and female candidates (the main client base is female).

Required skills

• Deep understanding of hair growth cycles and scalp pathology, including identifying subtle physiological shifts in scalp tissue.
• High emotional intelligence, empathy and compassion for clients facing hair loss or scalp stress.
• Professional, welcoming and detail-oriented, with strong observation and analytical skills.
