About the role

DGS Medical Limited is a specialist clinic offering clinical consultations, an in-house secondary laboratory, a dispensary and a dental clinic. It is looking for a full-time, on-site Medical Doctor in Kuje who will provide evidence-based clinical care to patients, manage acute and chronic conditions and work closely with laboratory, pharmacy, dental and nursing teams.

Key responsibilities

• Take medical histories, perform physical examinations and order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Develop treatment plans and prescribe medications
• Manage acute and chronic conditions and coordinate referrals to other specialists
• Provide health education and counseling to patients and families
• Maintain accurate, timely medical records and follow clinical protocols and regulatory standards
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and attend clinic meetings

Required profile

• Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and a current valid license to practice medicine
• Prior experience in a clinic or hospital setting; primary care or specialist practice experience is an added advantage
• Willingness to take part in continuous professional development
