Computer Trainer

About the role

This position seeks a qualified individual to deliver comprehensive training in information technology and computer science, bridging the digital skills gap by teaching learners of all levels, from novices to advanced users. The successful candidate will act as an instructor in a supportive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging instruction to students ranging from beginners to advanced practitioners.
• Design and implement structured lesson plans, hands-on exercises and relevant training resources.
• Guide learners in mastering internet navigation, email protocols, file organization and basic computer operations.
• Incorporate knowledge of graphics design, web development or programming where applicable to enrich the curriculum.

Required profile

• HND or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
• Proven experience or demonstrated capability in teaching technical subjects to diverse audiences.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex technical information clearly.
• Ability to create educational materials and practical training exercises.

Required skills

• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and standard computer functions.
• Proficiency in creating training materials and exercises.
• Additional expertise in graphic design, web design or software programming is highly beneficial.
