Communication Associate

About the role

This full-time Communication Associate role is dedicated to creating and refining communication assets such as social media posts, newsletters, reports and campaign materials. The holder oversees the organisation's digital presence so that all content aligns with the strategic communications plan and calendar, while building brand awareness and engaging stakeholders. The position sits within the NGO/social services sector.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee social media channels so they stay aligned with the approved communications strategy and schedule.
• Craft engaging narratives, including captions, articles and stories, that highlight the organisation's programmes, activities and achievements.
• Collaborate on the visual design of promotional materials such as flyers, infographics and presentations using design software such as Canva.
• Record organisational events and programme milestones through high-quality photography, videography and written summaries.
• Facilitate the production and distribution of newsletters and other organisational publications.
• Organise and maintain a digital repository of all visual and written communication assets.
• Partner with programme teams to collect timely information on project activities and outcomes.
• Ensure all published content is factually accurate, professionally formatted and consistent with brand standards before release.
• Follow safeguarding, consent and confidentiality protocols when sharing information about participants and sensitive topics.
• Monitor communication workflows to meet deadlines and give regular progress reports to management.
