Commercial Strategy Officer

About the role

The Commercial Strategy Officer will lead the development and execution of commercial strategies that drive revenue growth, market expansion, and customer retention for Mixta Africa’s infrastructure and real estate portfolio. Based onsite in Victoria Island, Lagos, the role blends market analysis, product development and cross‑functional collaboration in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in‑depth market research and feasibility studies to uncover new real‑estate business opportunities.
• Analyse market trends, customer behaviour and competitor strategies to inform commercial decisions.
• Work with the Head of Commercial Strategy to define the commercial roadmap and high‑impact initiatives.
• Support the full product development lifecycle from concept, business modelling and financial projections to go‑to‑market execution.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Finance and Project Development teams to launch and scale new products.
• Evaluate monetisation strategies for existing and new offerings to meet revenue targets.
• Partner with Finance, Legal and Operations to ensure initiatives are financially viable and compliant.
• Identify and test innovative business models and stay updated on PropTech trends.

Required profile

• 4–5 years of experience in business strategy, product development, commercial analysis or related roles within real estate, consulting, investment banking or venture building.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification is a plus.
• Experience in real estate, infrastructure or related sectors in Africa is highly beneficial.
• Strong analytical and quantitative abilities with proficiency in Excel and business reporting tools.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
