Business Development Manager

About the role

A growing organization is looking for a Business Development Manager to strengthen its presence in Abuja and surrounding markets. The role is full-time and on-site, focused on finding new business opportunities, building client relationships and expanding the company's market presence.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and qualify leads, and prepare and deliver proposals and presentations
• Negotiate and close deals, and track performance against sales targets
• Manage the sales pipeline and report regularly
• Collaborate with internal teams to refine offerings, gather market feedback and support product or service positioning
• Take part in industry events or client meetings as required

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in business development, sales or account management, preferably in a related industry
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Comfortable working on-site in Abuja, including attending client visits, meetings and local industry events

Required skills

• Lead generation, pipeline management and deal negotiation, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Ability to analyze market trends and turn them into growth strategies
• Proficiency with CRM tools, productivity software and basic data analysis
