Head of Business Development

About the role

Debyl Limited is hiring a Head of Business Development to lead its growth, build a winning team and personally close the deals that shape its future. The role reports to the Managing Director and sits on the senior leadership team.

Key responsibilities

• Create and deliver the business development strategy, including target markets, pricing approach and marketing approach
• Set revenue targets and own the sales forecast
• Coach and develop a high-performing sales team, including a strategic sales process, playbook and CRM discipline
• Lead negotiations and close major accounts, tenders and strategic partnerships
• Build relationships with clients, partners and industry bodies
• Work with Marketing, Finance and Operations so leads convert and clients are well served
• Report on pipeline, revenue and market trends to the Managing Director and team

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering; MBA or MSc is an advantage
• Substantial oil and gas experience and a strong grasp of how operators and contractors buy
• 8 to 12 years in business development or sales, including 3 or more in senior leadership
• A proven record of exceeding revenue targets and growing a business or division
• Experience leading and developing a sales team in upstream, midstream and downstream
