Business Development Intern

About the role

Better Life Nija Ltd. is looking for a full-time Business Development Intern to support its business development team in identifying and pursuing growth opportunities, developing partnerships and engaging potential clients. The intern also helps research funding and investment opportunities. The role offers hands-on experience in market research, proposal writing, client relationship management and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research to identify potential clients, business opportunities, market trends and areas for growth.
• Support the preparation of business plans, proposals, concept notes, presentations and funding applications.
• Research grants, loans, tenders, investments and other funding opportunities for the company and its clients.
• Maintain an up-to-date database of prospective clients, partners and funding institutions.
• Support client onboarding, documentation, communication and follow-up.
• Help develop partnerships with government agencies, financial institutions, development organisations and private-sector organisations.
• Take part in business meetings, stakeholder engagements, presentations, training programmes and networking events.
• Support marketing materials, company profiles, reports and other communications.
• Monitor proposals, funding applications and tenders, track leads and opportunities, and update the team regularly.
• Share findings on industry, funding and market developments and help prepare activity reports.
• Perform other business development duties as assigned by management.
