Contract Sales Representative - Lagos

About the role

URCH Foods, a growing food processing and packaging startup focused on making quality Nigerian foods more accessible, is looking for a driven, results-oriented Sales Representative to expand its presence across supermarkets, malls, grocery stores and other retail outlets in Lagos. The role suits someone who can identify sales opportunities, build relationships with retailers and turn prospects into paying customers.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and approach supermarkets, malls, grocery stores and other retail outlets.
• Present URCH Foods products and secure wholesale orders.
• Build relationships with store managers and purchasing officers.
• Follow up on orders, payments and repeat purchases.
• Track sales activities and submit weekly reports.

Required profile

• Previous sales experience, preferably in FMCG, food distribution, retail or wholesale sales.
• Proactive, target-driven approach to sales.
• Ability to work independently and conduct field visits across Lagos.

Required skills

• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.

What we offer

• Base salary of N50,000 per month, payable once at least 50% of the monthly sales target is achieved.
• Commission of 3% on eligible sales collected by the company.
• Field marketing allowance of N20,000 per month for approved field activities.
• Monthly sales target of N1,000,000; at that level total earnings would be N100,000 (base, commission and allowance).
• Contract duration of 3 months initially, subject to performance review.
