Accountant

About the role

Axiom Learning Solutions Limited is looking for an Accountant to act as its financial steward, overseeing the integrity of the organisation's finances. The role covers financial record keeping, transaction processing, regulatory reporting and compliance, providing accurate data and timely reports for sound business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain precise, up-to-date and organised financial records and generate paperwork such as invoices, payment requisitions and receipts.
• Track and analyse revenue, operating expenses, cash liquidity and overall spending.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reconcile bank statements and corporate accounts regularly.
• Oversee petty cash and enforce documentation standards for disbursements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning, including backing technical and financial proposals during bidding.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, follow up on outstanding debts and make authorised vendor payments on time.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws and statutory obligations, and support tax filings and audits.
• Review entries for errors, provide financial analysis to management, work with Admin and Operations on project finances, and keep financial data confidential.
