Accountant – Accounts Payable & Cash Reconciliation

About the role
The Accountant will join the finance team in Abuja and manage the full accounts‑payable cycle while ensuring daily cash and bank transactions are accurately reconciled. This position supports revenue assurance by providing settlement data from the CoralPay gateway.
Key responsibilities
- Receive, verify and record supplier invoices against purchase orders and goods received notes in the ERP system.
- Prepare weekly and monthly payment schedules and execute supplier payments via authorised bank transfers.
- Reconcile supplier statements with company records and resolve discrepancies.
- Perform daily cash and bank reconciliation using CoralPay reports, investigating any mismatches with bank credits.
- Generate daily, weekly and monthly reconciliation reports and journal vouchers.
- Share CoralPay settlement data with the Revenue Assurance Officer to identify collection gaps.
- Prepare daily cash‑position reports and liaise with CoralPay support for failed or pending transactions.
Required profile
- Mid‑level accounting experience (approximately 3 years).
- Reports to the Chief Accountant.
Required skills
- Proficiency with an ERP system for invoice processing.
- Experience using the CoralPay payment gateway.
- Knowledge of bank‑transfer processing and cash‑bank reconciliation.
- Ability to prepare journal vouchers with supporting documentation.
