About the role

The Senior Associate Pharmacist leads daily operations of one or more Relarex pharmacy locations, supervising Associate Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians to ensure safe, accurate, and timely medication dispensing while delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

  • Review, prepare, and dispense prescriptions safely and accurately.
  • Provide medication counselling and resolve complex medication‑related issues.
  • Supervise, coach, and support pharmacy staff to achieve performance goals.
  • Monitor pharmacy performance metrics such as accuracy, turnaround time, and patient satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with Pharmacy Council of Nigeria regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct quality audits, investigate medication incidents, and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of prescriptions, errors, and adverse events.
  • Oversee medicine inventory, stock management, and minimize waste.
  • Analyze performance data to improve efficiency and service quality.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including doctors, nurses, logistics, technology, and finance.

Required profile

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution.
  • Current pharmacist license and active registration with the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria.
  • Completion of NYSC or valid exemption certificate.
  • 3–5 years of pharmacy experience post‑NYSC, with at least 2 years in a clinical, hospital, community, retail or digitally enabled setting.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and ability to resolve complex medication issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

  • Experience using pharmacy or electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  • Proficiency in digital healthcare tools.
  • Data collection, analysis, and using performance data to improve operations.
