Immunization Manager

About the role

The Immunization Manager will coordinate and manage VillageReach’s implementation in Nigeria to improve immunization outreach through context‑appropriate cold chain solutions, focusing on mobile cold chain equipment and temperature‑controlled powered vaccine storage options, including Indigo devices. Based in Abuja, the role works closely with government counterparts, state project teams, technical colleagues and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate national government and partner engagement, joint planning and follow‑up; align approaches with teams in other participating countries.
• Manage the in‑country workplan, timelines and deliverables; oversee day‑to‑day coordination of state‑based personnel.
• Lead procurement of Indigo devices, working with UNICEF or manufacturers to confirm requirements, delivery timelines and deployment readiness.
• Organise operational assessments and workshops to compare mobile CCE and TPVS options, define outreach archetypes and test planning approaches.
• Oversee field testing, equipment deployment readiness and training support, assessing performance, usability, costs and feasibility.
• Coordinate monitoring, data collection, quality checks and analysis; synthesize findings into progress reports, evidence summaries and presentations.
• Translate findings into practical planning guidance, decision trees, comparison matrices and readiness checklists for government processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree or equivalent experience in public health, health systems, supply chain management, international development or related field.
• At least five years of relevant experience in immunization programs, cold chain logistics or health supply chain management.
• Proven ability to coordinate with government agencies, partners and multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, with experience generating evidence‑based recommendations.
